چکیده
This work investigates the effect of production scales (laboratory, bench, and pilot) by pyrolysis Açaí (Euterpe oleracea Mart.) seeds at 450 °C 1.0 atmosphere, on yields reaction products acid value bio-oils. The experiments were carried out in batch mode using a laboratory scale reactor 143 mL, bench 1.5 L, pilot L (≈1:10:1000). bio-oil was obtained scale, fractionated distillation to produce biofuel-like fractions. column. physical-chemistry properties (density, kinematic viscosity, value, refractive index) bio-oils fractions determined. qualitative analysis determined FT-IR chemical composition GC-MS. showed from 4.37 13.09 (wt.%), decreasing with volume. varied 68.31 70.26 mg KOH/g. produced gasoline, light kerosene, kerosene-like fuel fractions, 16.16, 19.56, 41.89 respectively. increase temperature. identified presence functional groups characteristic hydrocarbons (alkenes, alkanes, aromatics, aromatics rings) oxygenates (carboxylic acids, ketones, esters, ethers, alcohols, phenols). GC-MS 48.24 (area.%) 51.76 21.52 78.48 scale. gasoline-like fraction composed 64.0 36.0 oxygenates, 66.67 33.33 19.87 81.13 oxygenates.

Total oxidant scavenging capacities of Euterpe oleracea Mart. (Açaí) fruits.
The antioxidant capacities of 11 commercial and non-commercial samples of Euterpe oleracea Mart. (açaí) fruit pulp were studied with the total oxidant scavenging capacity assay in a modified and automated version against three reactive oxygen species. The antioxidant capacities of all purple açaí samples were found to be excellent against peroxyl radicals, good against peroxynitrite and poor ag...
متن کاملAçaí (Euterpe oleracea Mart.) Modulates Oxidative Stress Resistance in Caenorhabditis elegans by Direct and Indirect Mechanisms
Açaí (Euterpe oleracea Mart.) has recently emerged as a promising source of natural antioxidants. Despite its claimed pharmacological and nutraceutical value, studies regarding the effects of açaí in vivo are limited. In this study, we use the Caenorhabditis elegans model to evaluate the in vivo antioxidant properties of açaí on an organismal level and to examine its mechanism of action. Supple...
متن کاملInhibitory effect of açaí (Euterpe oleracea Mart.) pulp on IgE-mediated mast cell activation.
The palm fruit açaí is known to have potential health benefits due to its antioxidant scavenging capacities. Pretreatment of IgE-sensitized mouse primary cultured mast cells with açaí pulp resulted in the dramatic suppression of antigen-induced degranulation in a dose-dependent manner. Similarly, açaí suppressed IgE-mediated degranulation and transcription of the cytokine genes from a cultured ...
متن کاملNeuroprotective Effects of Açaí (Euterpe oleracea Mart.) against Rotenone In Vitro Exposure
Neuropsychiatric diseases, such as bipolar disorder (BD) and schizophrenia (SCZ), have a very complex pathophysiology. Several current studies describe an association between psychiatric illness and mitochondrial dysfunction and consequent cellular modifications, including lipid, protein, and DNA damage, caused by cellular oxidative stress. Euterpe oleracea (açaí) is a powerful antioxidant frui...
متن کاملAntinociceptive effects of hydroalcoholic extract from Euterpe oleracea Mart. (Açaí) in a rodent model of acute and neuropathic pain
BACKGROUND Plants rich in flavonoids, such as açaí (Euterpe oleraceae Mart.), can induce antinociception in experimental animals. Here, we tested an extract obtained from the stones of açaí fruits (açaí stone extract, ASE), a native plant from the Amazon region of Brazil, in models of acute/inflammatory and chronic pain. METHODS Antinociceptive effects of ASE were evaluated in the hot plate, ...
